What is Mentorship?

We believe that mentorship is more than career and university guidance. Mentoring takes a holistic and personalised approach, focusing on the individuality of each student. Unlike traditional university counselling, mentoring helps students discover who they are, what drives them and how to craft their pathway.

At Forward Thinking, we support students throughout their high school journey, guiding them not only as mentors but also by providing university counselling as part of our broader mentorship approach.

Why does Mentorship matter?

Success for each student looks different, and mentorship helps students look beyond university rankings and deadlines to identify what success looks like for them. We encourage students to ask themselves the bigger questions, including

  • What kind of person do I want to become?
  • How can I make an impact?
  • Where do I see myself in the future?
  • What makes me happy?

Mentorship provides students with the opportunity to reflect on themselves and their experiences in order to grow with purpose and dedication towards their goals.
